PROFESSIONAL YEAR PROGRAMS

A Professional Year Program (PYP) provides international students with a combination of both formal educational development, as well as work experience in their area of studies after graduating from an Australian university. Qualifying graduates may be eligible to receive additional points under an eligible skilled occupation, as specified by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA).

Note – The awarding of points is entirely at the discretion of the DHA and successful completion of the Professional Year Program does not guarantee the awarding of Permanent Residency points.

PROFESSIONAL YEAR ACCOUNTING Developed by CPA Australia, the Institute of Public Accountants, and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Accounting Professional Year Program is delivered at different cities Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, and Adelaide Campus, conveniently located in the heart of the CBD. This program combines formal learning and internship to equip Accounting graduates for employment in the Accounting sector.  During PY practical skills and training to enhance students’ future employment opportunities. Upon completion of the Accounting Professional Year Program, qualifying graduates may be eligible to receive additional points towards their permanent residency application under the Skilled Migration pathway. PROFESSIONAL YEAR IT: ACS’s PYear Program gives international ICT graduates from Australian tertiary providers the practical job skills and training needed to enhance their career prospects. A practical pathway from university to employment, PYear ensures that graduates are job-ready. GRADUATES MAY CLAIM FIVE (5) POINTS UNDER AN ELIGIBLE SKILLED OCCUPATION. Completion of this program may provide the PYear graduate with five (5) points under an eligible skilled occupation, as specified by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA).
